Hello there! Sometimes simple says it best! Today I have a new card project to share with you.
I have really been enjoying exploring watercolor techniques in my paper crafting of late, and today's card features it quite heavily. To get the pretty pink color, I used a combination of a watercolor palette and Tattered Rose Distress Ink by Ranger. I smeared the ink onto my Ranger Craft Sheet, then I dropped some water onto the sheet using a wet paintbrush, mixed it up and applied the color to my watercolor paper. For a bit of variation in my color, I also laid down a bit of pink color from a watercolor paint palette as well. After the watercolor to dries, either by heat setting or air drying, I laid the 'hello' die onto the paper and then ran it through my die cutting machine.
Gold is another huge trend in home decor and paper crafting right now, so I decided to emboss the feather stamp with gold powder to give a lux look to the card.
To finish off, I wrapped some twine around the card and secured it with a button and a bow.
The "just a little something" stamp is an old Stampin' Up! stamp. Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the set that it came with - sorry.
Have a great day friends!
