Good morning! It's been a busy weekend here in Vancouver. Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadian peeps!
Today I'm a part of a release hop party for the brand new Ellen Hutson release, if you've been following along on the hop you should have come here from Heather Campbell's blog. If you're lost, or want to start back at the beginning of the hop, please click over to Ellen Hutson's CLASSroom.
Isn't it cute?! This is a fantastic set for the fall season and I enjoyed making an Autumnal card with it.
For stamping each of the images, I colored directly onto the stamp using the following Ranger Distress ink markers: Crushed Olive, Wild Honey, Aged Mahogany and Vintage photo. After coloring, I used a spray bottle and lightly misted the surface of the stamp so that the inks would run together. I stamped onto watercolor paper. For the leaf, I left it on the paper, but for the mushroom, I used the coordinating die to cut it.
The 'hi, friend' greeting is from the same stamp set was embossed using white embossing powder onto kraft cardstock.
I frequently like to use old ephemera in my paper crafting projects but I know that not everyone has access to similar items. So I have two sources for downloadable/printable ledger paper that I'd love to share with you: The Graphics Fairy, and The Old Design Shop. Both sites have a section full of beautiful ephemera that is free to use. HERE is the link to a ledger paper that is a bit similar to the one I used from The Graphics Fiary, and HERE is a beautiful French receipt from the Old Design Shop.
Thanks so much for your visit today. Your next stop on the blog hop is Karolyn Loncon.
